You can adjust many settings here, but OnionOS has done a good job of optimizing these for you.

As part of our Miyoo Mini Plus+ review we want to compare the new model with the original Miyoo Mini and its similar rival the RG35XX. Adding games to your Miyoo Mini Plus+ is very easy to do. You can simply remove the micro SD card from the device and plug it into your PC. You will see a bunch of folders with console names. Copy any ROMs in to their respective folder, i.e. Mega Drive / Genesis into the MEGA DRIVE folder. Last year Miyoo released a handheld called the Miyoo Mini, a matchbox sized device that actually won our best retro handhelds of the year award, it was the perfect little handheld emulator for newcomers and handheld nerds. With the Miyoo Mini Plus+, you will never have to worry about running out of storage space for your favourite games. This portable gaming handheld comes with a 64GB microSD card included, providing ample room to store a vast collection of retro games. And if that is not enough, the device supports expandable storage of up to 128GB, ensuring you have more than enough space to carry your entire gaming library with you wherever you go. You can also see the RetroArch menu by running the RetroArch item in the App section. GameSwitcher mode (this is clever) On the front are your standard gaming buttons which feel responsive and fairly comfortable to use. In the middle is a Menu button for use while playing on the emulators.

Miyoo Mini + Plus upholds various exemplary computer games control center and arcade including Mega Drive/Genesis, Master System, Game Gear, PC Engine, Wonder Swan Mono and Color, PlayStation 1, CPS-I, CPS-II, CPS-III, and Arcade with Final Burn Alpha. In hand it’s still a very light handheld, but takes up the whole of your palm giving you much needed grip and the ability to play in for hours on end, unlike it’s smaller brother. Miyoo Mini + Specs Inside the box is everything you need to get started. Your new Miyoo Mini +, the instruction manual to refer to, the charging cable sporting the USB-C standard, no proprietary ports here! The included 64GB Micro SD card and adapter. Store all of your vintage games onto the handheld console and even a tempered glass screen protector to ensure that your device stays looking and feeling brand new for a long time to come. If you power down the device with a game still running, it will automatically create a save state while it switches off. When you next power on your handheld, it will boot straight into the game and continue from that save-state. No dreamcast support? 1.6 ghz should be enough for most games. Also there are tons of games for dreamcast without…We do have a more detailed guide here if you want to build your own micro SD card from scratch. You can read it here, or embedded below. Installing custom firmware on the Miyoo Mini Plus+ While testing Playstation 1 games there was no real issue either, and it emulated those games very well, but that’s where it steps, anything more intensive like PSP and beyond won’t work well on here. Overall Opinion

The specs stated allows this handheld to emulate most games up to and including Playstation 1, which is really all you need from a device of this size. The 4:3 screen makes most retro games a pleasure to play on, especially Gameboy Advance. The Miyoo Mini Plus+ offers versatile connectivity options. Use the USB port to connect to your computer and transfer games and saves. You can also in headphones for private and immersive audio. Play online with friends with the supported RetroArch online modes. ConclusionThe Miyoo Mini Plus+ is powered by a robust 3000mAh Li-polymer rechargeable battery, providing you with up to 8 hours of uninterrupted gaming pleasure. Whether you are embarking on an epic quest or engaging in an intense multiplayer showdown, this reliable battery ensures you will not have to cut your gaming sessions short due to low power. Enjoy gaming on the go without the worry of running out of battery life. Here you have a list some of the beta or custom files, to access them go to Beta Testing folder here. This section is for advanced users, no guides are provided for this (please read the .txt files before using them). File We have prepared a guide which you can read here, and also embedded below which shows how to install the excellent Onion OS for the Miyoo Mini Plus+. Onion OS provides more emulators, features and improved overall performance.

Onto the shoulder buttons, I am actually impressed. It seems Miyoo have listened to their customers and have made larger, far more comfortable shoulder buttons for this device. There’s no way to get confused with the firmware due to everything be so simply laid out, even the emulator section is easy to use, just make sure your ROM files are organised as there’s no way to filter through your collection unless you add them as favourites. There is a USB Type-C cable for charging your Miyoo Mini Plus. And last but not least, there is a Micro SD card reader. Miyoo Mini Plus OverviewBelow that you have a big “thicc boi” d-pad that is an absolute pleasure to play on, and even though it looks too big for the handheld it’s actually perfectly sized. Fighting games work a treat on here.
